Move to a nice climate

Right now it's something like two degrees outside here, it's snowing horizontally as the wind blow 40 mph.  The weather here is only good 1/3 of the time.  The rest is very de-motivational.  So, I've decided to start applying for Marketing positions outside of the snow belt.  I'm thinking California, Texas, Colorado (the less snowy part), Carolinas, or a private island.  

I'd like to own a condo in the downtown of a larger city or perhaps a cabin in the middle of nowhere by this time next year.  I own a home now, but I don't appreciate it as I constantly am disappointed that I decided to buy a house in this climate.
